Our Business Development and Customer Relationship team develops long-term relationships with existing and new customers in order to ensure success with existing products and services while enabling new sales where possible. The successful candidate will support group growth goals by cultivating new business opportunities, studying market trends, supporting development and execution of market strategies, and maintaining an industry-facing personal brand that reflects Studsvik’s commitment to furthering Nuclear Science and Technology for the benefit of humanity.
This position will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Supports existing market and product strategy development and execution by learning about Studsvik products, services, and customers as well as industry trends and dynamics. The successful candidate will possess the business acumen to synthesize this information into actions that can directly aid in business stability and growth.
- Develops and Maintains relationships with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.
- Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
- Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
- Develops new uses for existing products by analyzing statistics regarding market development; acquiring and analyzing data; consulting with internal and external sources.
- Maintains sales pipeline and in company systems to ensure visibility on new business opportunities and actions to close.
- Issues commercial documents for orders sold, documents orders in company systems, and ensures successful follow through on all sales to project completion.
- Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Establishes and maintains contact with customers to ensure customer success, gain feedback and insights, and identify new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated: The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where they can determine new paths, take measured risks, and function autonomously in day to day functions.
- Travel: A person motivated to succeed in this position will likely find that they are traveling up to 50% on average.
- Work Location: The position can be remote, however day-to-day work collaboration advantages will be found if the employee is located in any of the following locations:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Preferred: Business experience through education or experience as a compliment is highly desirable
- Required: > 5 nuclear energy industry experience, preferably in nuclear fuel, plant engineering, or operations function
- Preferred: > 5 years of nuclear industry experience in both utility and supplier roles
- Open-ended problem solving - ability to reconcile ambiguous situations and drive initiatives to successful conclusion.
