Coastal Electric Cooperative is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees, members, and visitors. This position performs routine building maintenance services, light building maintenance, and grounds keeping duties both indoors and outdoors.
- Clean and maintain floors, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Clean walls, windows, doors, and office furniture
- Remove trash and waste daily
- Inspect plumbing and HVAC equipment and report repair needs
- Replace light bulbs and maintain lighting inventory
- Set up and break down meeting rooms as needed
- Secure buildings after hours and assist with opening/closing for meetings
- Perform grounds maintenance including mowing and landscape bed care
- Pick up mail, deliver deposits, run errands, and shred confidential documents
- Works with supervisor to ensure OSHA compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions
- Knowledge of cleaning and lawn maintenance chemicals and safe usage
- Ability to operate cleaning and lawn equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Valid Georgia driver’s license required
- Willingness to complete 2–3 months of on-the-job training
