Job Description - Hourly Position (traditional)

The essential functions of this position are:·

- Must comply with all state and federal mining laws

- Watch out for the safety of self and other co-workers

- Must be self-motivated and goal oriented

- Perform strenuous tasks in a fast paced and changing environment

- Load and unload supplies· Experience with Belt and power moves

- Change rollers during downtime· Install Mechanical splices

- Install and change out belting

- Empty the longwall storage unit

- Maintain beltlines

- Set and recover drives· Install and change out pulleys

- Install and maintain scrapers

- Preform transfer maintenance

- Cutting and welding

- Concrete work

The marginal activities of this position are

- Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience

Work Schedule

- 8 hour shift

- Rotating shifts

- Overtime

- Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday

License/Certification

- WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)

- Experience in building belt drives & transfers (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

- Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner

- Use various hand tools

- Lift, carry, push, pull - tools, materials and supplies 50 - 100 lbs. regularly.

- Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary

- Work Closely with others in a team environment
