In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise and diagnostic skills to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. You’ll work with a variety of automotive systems, including powertrains, electrical components, transmissions, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), to provide top-tier service that keeps our customers moving confidently. - Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, both foreign & domestic.
- Use schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and hand tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations.
- Repair and service powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and ADAS features to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment for repairs requiring mechanical fabrication or structural adjustments.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems effectively.
- Communicate clearly with the service manager about repair needs, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Proven dealership OR smaller service center technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, transmission repair, and diesel engine servicing.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment/software.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to service manager..
