GENERAL SUMMARY:
This entry level position will assist in the installation, monitoring and servicing of automation equipment in the oil and gas industry; this position will work directly with senior level I & E technicians, project managers and/or programmers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor and isolate problems and perform repairs for various Oil & Gas applications with close supervision.
•Provide field service as needed to maintain operational readiness.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose various electronic equipment to isolate faults with an automated system.
•Provide professional communication to company personnel and answer questions as needed.
•Comply with all applicable safety rules and environmental responsibilities.
•Responsible for assisting in commissioning new facilities with direct supervision.
•With supervision, configuration and setting up of all instrumentation and applicable feedback to PLC.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•Have a background of system startups and commissioning.
•Familiarization with voltage application 120vac, 24vdc, 12vdc.
•Familiarization with Analog, HART, and Modbus protocols.
•Comfortable with Microsoft applications is a plus (Word and Excel).
•Skilled with hand and electrical tools.
•Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
•Have minimal experience with pressure transducers, tank level transmitters, Networking TCP/IP, Solar Powered Systems, fuses, breakers and surge protectors and wiring schematics.
•With close supervision, set up cellular networks and interface equipment.
•Competence in use of handheld meters and equipment used in simulation and troubleshooting.
EDUCATION, LICENSES & EXPERIENCE:
•High School Diploma or GED is recommended.
•Minimum of 1year experience with instrumentation and automation equipment.
•1year experience working with cellular communications and IP address schemes.

•This position is primarily a field environment with minimal time spent in an office environment.
