GENERAL SUMMARY:
This job is responsible for the installation, monitoring and servicing of automation equipment in the oil and gas industry; this position will work directly with project managers and programmers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor and isolate problems and perform repairs for various Oil & Gas applications
•
Provide field service as needed to maintain operational readiness
•
Troubleshoot and diagnose various electronic equipment to isolate faults with an automated system.
•
Provide professional communication to company personnel and answer questions as needed.
•
Comply with all applicable safety rules and environmental responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•
Have a background of system startups and commissioning
•
Strong understanding of process control and Cause and Effect
•
Familiarization with voltage application 120vac, 24vdc, 12vdc
•
Familiarization with Analog, HART, and Modbus protocols
•
Comfortable with Microsoft applications is a plus (Word and Excel)
•
Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
•
Ability to make minor changes to the programming code as needed
EDUCATION, LICENSES & EXPERIENCE:
•
High School Diploma or GED is recommended
•
Minimum of 5 years' experience with automation and instrumentation equipment
•
5 years' experience working with cellular communications and IP address schemes
•
Experience with pressure transducers, tank level transmitters, flow meters, Networking TCP/IP, Solar Powered Systems, fuses, breakers and surge protectors and wiring schematics

Physical Activity: Requires mediumheavy physical work; regularly required to sit or stand, use of hands and fingers to operate a computer; able to lift and transport 40 pounds unassisted if needed.

Work environment: High exposure to elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or moderate noises.
•
This position is primarily in a field environment with minimal time spent in an office environment
•
Regular, predictable attendance is required
