Position Summary
As an Associate Recruiter at Oncor, you’ll be responsible for supporting recruitment and coordinating programs for early career talent. This role will assist the Early Careers (EC) Talent Acquisition Partner in managing full-cycle recruiting efforts for intern and new graduate roles across our entire organization.
This position requires a results-driven, detail-oriented candidate with excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. This candidate must have a customer service mindset and a willingness to support all teams across the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of recruitment initiatives and programs to attract early career talent.
- Schedule and attend career events at colleges, technical schools, and partner high schools.
- Support intern programs across the business with onboarding, communication, and feedback collection.
- Present the employer value proposition to prospective candidates through on campus and virtual events.
- Assist in processing early career hires; ensure offer letters are issued to candidates who have been extended offers of employment and follow-up letters are issued to candidates who are not selected.
- Coordinate job postings on all early career platforms and school websites.
- Maintain inventory of early career recruiting materials and coordinate getting materials to the business recruiters as needed.
- Assist hiring managers with questions regarding recruiting, interviewing, screening, assessment and selection techniques, and ensure the interview process is facilitated and closed effectively.
- Assist candidates with questions regarding recruiting process, onboarding, and other programming items.
- Maintain records of applicants, offers, new hires, promotions, and transfers as required for reporting purposes.
- Maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices.
- Effectively screen candidates to determine qualifications based on job requirements.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and/or candidate relationship management systems.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret company policies and procedures, employment laws, and general business documents.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
- Ability to work and promote cooperation in a cross-functional or collaborative environment.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously.- High School diploma, GED or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., recruiting, customer service, sales) required.
- Applicants with an Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Human Resource (HR) Management, or another related field are encouraged to apply.
