Delta Natural Gas, a subsidiary of Peoples Natural Gas, is a gas utility serving south-central Kentucky. This position is located in Delta Gas’ Winchester office.

Function Under general supervision, performs various tasks relating to pipeline monitoring, flow control, gas analysis, gas accounting and emergency response. Duties

- Maintains a detailed working knowledge of Delta’s pipeline systems and manages the flow of transportation, purchase and storage volumes into and out of Delta’s pipeline. Must be able to identify abnormal pipeline conditions, operate remote control equipment and dispatch field personnel to ensure safe pipeline operations.

- Maintains the requisite computer skills to operate Company’s SCADA system and other software systems to ensure accurate data. Responsible for recording data in spreadsheet and database files.

- Maintains a working knowledge of the chromatographs to analyze gas and liquid samples.

- Maintains a working knowledge of AGA Report Vol. 3. Must be able to calibrate and operate the chart integrator to ensure accurate volumetric data.

- Receives and dispatches Emergency calls to company personnel as needed. Must maintain a working knowledge of emergency procedures involving gas supply.

- Maintains a working knowledge of Company’s Control Room Management procedures. Must record required data in Company’s database.

- Responsible for calibration and operation of chart integration.

- Maintains a working knowledge of Company’s liquid processing facility.

- Responsible for monitoring and dispatching field personnel to ensure safe processing operations.

- Maintains daily system and emergency phone logs.

- Shall be required to work shift work and subject to 24 hour call during relief shift.

- Performs any and all other duties assigned by authorized personnel.

Basic Qualifications

- Understanding of basic gas properties.

- 1-2 years natural gas, process operation/control or related experience preferred

- Compressor, pipeline, regulator, or any related field experience preferred.

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for education.

- Must possess a valid drivers license
