Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager is a crucial element in our strategic plan to elevate and grow our market share in the industry. This individual will be expected to manage all aspects of the sales process and be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the sales team. Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills are necessary in this role to ensure resulting quotes and bid packages are to the required standards of new Clients. Our ideal candidate has considerable negotiating and presentation skills, can produce innovative solutions, and owns a ‘no quit’ mentality.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
•Oversees day-to day operational aspects of project and scope
•Creates and executes project work plans, quotes, schedules
•Ensure timely execution and implementation of every aspect of project including closeouts
•Monitors and reports on the progress of the project to all appropriate individuals
•Minimizes company exposure and risk by preemptively identifying project issues
•Formulate and implement corrective actions when needed
•Ensure project documents are complete, current and store appropriately
•Oversees project budget and ensure profitability
•Works closely with department manager to obtain approvals on all quotes
•Ensuring vendors have safety plan in place
•Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate on time and budget delivery.
•Researches and complies information about licenses, permits and landlord requirements
•Provide recommendations to project manager and clients on any issues and options
•Review plans and scope documents
Job Requirements:
•Possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
•Technically inclined to understand and explain construction project scopes of work
•Ability to handle several concurrent tasks with attention to detail
•Knowledge of Excel, Word and be email savvy
•Must be able to function well in a high-intensity, constant changing environment
•Must be energetic and show enthusiasm
•Construction and Facilities Management knowledge a plus
•Auto CAD and like software experience preferred
•Estimating experience preferred
•After hour/weekend work for projects taking place. Communication with clients and vendors outside business hours.
•2-3 years of commercial construction experience
•A plus-bachelor’s degree in fields such as engineering, construction or PM

Salary range: $70,000-$75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
