Job Description
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and developing the production and facility maintenance team at the MasterBrand North Las Vegas facility. This position ensures operational efficiency, reliability, and safety of all building systems, equipment, and grounds. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with strategic planning, driving continuous improvement initiatives, capital project management, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, a passion for team development, budgeting, problem solving and the ability to lead reliability-based maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management:
•Oversee the daily operations of all company facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
•Coordinate space planning, office layout changes, and facility upgrades/modifications.
•Manage custodial and security services, ensuring a clean and secure environment.
•Oversee central store, janitorial services, lawn care, landscaping, contractors, and/or parking areas
Maintenance Operations:
•Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems.
•Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues and emergencies.
•Manage service contracts and vendors for repairs, inspections, and specialized maintenance.
Project Management:
•Plan, direct, and manage renovation, remodeling, and projects from beginning to end.
•Develop full-scale project plans, progress reports, proposals, requirements/communication documentation, and presentations
•Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
•Collaborate with contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies as needed. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
•Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Compliance & Safety:
•Ensure compliance with local, county, state, and federal regulations including OSHA standards.
•Maintain records of inspections, certifications, and permits.
•Conduct regular safety audits and emergency preparedness drills.
Team Leadership:
•Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
•Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, team oriented and continuous improvement
Budgeting & Reporting:
•Develop and manage the department’s budget and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
•Track maintenance budgets/expenses, prepare reports, and make data-driven recommendations.
•Ensuring cost-effective and timely project completion.
Qualifications
•Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
•Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and/or EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) software.
•Familiarity/knowledge with PLC equipment.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED, PMP, Facility Management Professional - FMP) are a plus.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
•5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance management.
•Proven leadership and project management skills.
