The Facility/Maintenance Manager at The Steel Network (TSN) oversees and actively participates in maintenance operations across TSN facilities, ensuring equipment, machinery, and infrastructure operate efficiently and safely. This hands-on leadership role involves leading by example, performing maintenance tasks, driving preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing inventory, and supporting production needs to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:•Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate maintenance on production machinery, forklifts, trucks, and other equipment to minimize downtime. Implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to extend equipment life.
•Inventory Management: Maintain and manage maintenance supply inventory, source high-quality parts, and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
•Safety & Compliance: Ensure OSHA compliance across all facilities through audits, training, and accurate record-keeping. Stay updated on regulations and implement necessary changes.
•Facility Security: Manage alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and building key protocols to maintain security and mitigate risks.
•Fleet & Equipment Management: Oversee and perform maintenance on trucks, trailers, and forklifts, ensuring DOT compliance and coordinating propane contracts for forklifts.
•Waste & Recycling: Act as the primary contact for trash and recycling services, promoting sustainability through recycling programs.
•Special Projects: Support facility upgrades and process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
•Multi-Site Oversight: Serve as the primary contact for OSHA compliance, forklift maintenance, and facility management for TSN's Phoenix and Texas locations.
•Production Support: Ensure tooling availability and maintenance to support production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
•Degree in Facilities Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
•5+ years of experience in facility/maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing.
•Hands-on experience in automotive, motor diagnostic, and repair, with expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting forklifts, trucks, and industrial machinery.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
•Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
•Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
•Experience managing multiple facilities or remote teams is a plus.
