About This Job

Manufacturer of pre-engineered pumping systems and parks & recreation structures, Romtec Inc. is in search of a qualified professional to take on the role of Facilities & Fleet Maintenance. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and overseeing the maintenance and repair operations for our facilities and fleet vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Maintain the company’s buildings, ensuring they are in good operating condition; preventative repairs as needed.

Maintain company fleet vehicles, ensuring they are in good operating order, includes routine oil changes, operable safety items and preventative repairs as needed.
Completes general duties to include carpentry, replacing light bulbs, painting, cubicle installations & general office repairs.
Vendor Liaison; ensures accountability, efficient repairs, and that the quality of work meets all the Romtec Inc. standards.
Addresses concerns and maintains consistent follow-up on any outstanding repairs/projects.
Responds to emergency work orders, repairs, phone calls, and emails.
Reads, writes, and interprets manuals, schematics, plans, and specifications related to duties.
Routine Facility inspections.
Routine Vehicle inspections.
Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
Must be a Safety Committee member with a desire and expectation to grow in this role.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

It is critical that the Facilities Specialist has:

Microsoft Word & Excel skills are essential to success in this position.

Solid judgement and strong attention to detail is important.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time is important to succeed in this role
Excellent written and verbal skills
Problem-solving skills
Fundamental understanding of inter-office communications and procedures
A Valid Driver’s license with driving record that meets the company requirements.
Requires general knowledge in carpentry, mechanic, doors and cabinets, furniture, and any other components making up the physical locations.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

All potential employees who will be engaged in any physical activity will take an agility and hearing test, provided. These tests are intended to assist the supervisor in evaluating the demands of the position relative to the results of the test. Once a candidate is considered for the position Human Resources will work with the candidate to schedule an appointment for the agility and hearing testing. The test will be performed by a medical facility or an industrial physical testing provider. Romtec will cover the charges for these tests that are required.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
