Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties

- Analyze blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.

- Utilize construction management software such as eSUB and IntelliBid to prepare detailed estimates.

- Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to ensure all project requirements are met.

- Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and assess conditions that may impact project costs.

- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and thoroughness in documentation.

- Monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 to align estimating processes with timelines.

- Review contracts and specifications to identify potential risks or areas for cost savings.

- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

- Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.

Experience

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in project management and coordination.

- Proficiency in construction management software including eSUB, Bluebeam, IntelliBid, and Primavera P6 is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with civil engineering concepts and tools such as Civil 3D is a plus.

- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous experience working on construction sites is beneficial for understanding practical implications of estimates. Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
