Project Manager / Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate estimates and ensuring effective project coordination. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management software, project scheduling, and blueprint reading to deliver high-quality results.

Duties

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimating.

- Analyze schematics and blueprints to identify potential challenges and opportunities for cost savings.

- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and ensure timely delivery of materials.

- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation for future reference.

- Monitor project progress against estimates to identify discrepancies and adjust as necessary.

- Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

- Must be able to Measure parts such able to use micrometers, calipers, measuring tools

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

- Proficiency in machining management

- Strong skills in project scheduling, project coordination, time management, and blueprint reading.

- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and communicate effectively with team members.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for precise estimation processes.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
