- Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll,
- Support the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure data
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Partner with the Controller to analyze financial trends, variances, and operational performance to support
- Coordinate with department leaders to gather and validate budget and forecast data.
- Support the preparation of management reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, tax filings, and audits by preparing required documentation and
- Monitor and reconcile account balances, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, and special financial projects as assigned.
- Provide training and mentoring for other accounting associates.
- Serve as a backup to the Controller in their absence, ensuring continuity of financial operations.

- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certification Requirements: CPA License
- Experience Requirements: 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in a- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
- Exceptional computer skills, particularly manipulating worksheet files, spreadsheets and databases in
QuickBooks, MS Office and MS Access; includes the ability to learn and use various customer software
- Thorough understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a service firm that
produces billable project work (i.e. engineering, architectural, construction), particularly in either the
- Integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasional evening and weekend
- Willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight travel.
- Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance
- Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check.
- Computer literate – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to endure frequent/lengthy: Driving, standing, walking long distances (5 miles or more in a
day), navigating rough terrain on foot and lifting/balancing objects that may weigh up to ~20 lbs. and
require the use of upper extremities and back muscles; work in proximity to moving vehicles in the right
