POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assembler will construct components and finished products according to blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. This role ensures all products meet quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare workspace by gathering required materials, tools, and test software
- Perform manual assembly of narrow-band radio products following work instructions
- Assemble components with precision, handling small parts and intricate wiring
- Review and follow Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering drawings
- Inspect assembled products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Track and report defects, malfunctions, or quality issues
- Utilize SAP (ERP) system for job-related transactions
- Perform barcode scanning and maintain production tracking
- Operate test fixtures, run software, and troubleshoot failures
- Support manufacturing cells as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to use hand tools and basic computer systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in electronics or manufacturing assembly
- Experience with hand tools and small power tools
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
- Ability to identify process improvements and maintain quality standards
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Ability to visually inspect small components at close range
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 35 lbs
- Repetitive motion requiring high manual dexterity
- Ability to operate hand tools and computers
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (up to 50% of shift)
- Ability to move within manufacturing areas as needed
- Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, heat, and machinery
- May work near chemicals, solder, or fumes (PPE and ventilation provided)
- Required to wear safety gear (safety glasses, safety shoes, ESD smock)
- Work performed in a production-paced environment with deadlines
