Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in law enforcement, military experience, or security operations, along with excellent conflict management skills. This role requires a responsible individual capable of handling emergency situations with composure and professionalism. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Duties

- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect suspicious activity.

- Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to oversee security footage and identify potential threats.

- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate action including first aid or CPR if necessary.

- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.

- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities.

- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies.

- Provide excellent conflict management to de-escalate tense situations effectively.

- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions promptly.

Skills

- Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable.

- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring.

- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities.

- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices.

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly when needed.

- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately. Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
