POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Administration Specialist will work within the Office of the President as a dynamic generalist will be involved in all aspects of projects and initiatives from start to finish, i.e. business development, strategic planning, and process improvement. This position will work with the Director of the Office of the President and the CEO.
· Complete various operational projects, which may include process improvement initiatives, research, and data gathering
· Prepare and maintain presentations and documents necessary for key meetings and departmental processes
· Perform research and analysis to inform strategic decisions and business plans
· Develop and update existing operational plans and workflow diagrams
· Assist in organizing and maintaining proper communications among departments to ensure smooth information flow within the company
· Update and manage data in project management and other knowledge management platforms
· Coordinate and report on business development and marketing projects
· Support the sales function of the company by managing a CRM tool
· Provide administrative support to the Director of the Office of the president including scheduling and preparing for meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
· Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· High level of understanding of Microsoft SharePoint
· Experience in web-based productivity software (Asana, Teams, etc.)
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
· Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONAL AREAS (PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED):
· Access to reliable transportation to commute to the office daily, and within the Baltimore metropolitan area periodically for events
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform essential duties
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
