This position is responsible for facilitating the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
· Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
· Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
· Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
· Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
· May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
· Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
· Coordinates transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
· Responds to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
· Reviews purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
· Associate's Degree (AA) or 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Three to five years of experience in an administrative role and logistics.
