We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounts Receivable (AR) Director to lead and optimize our AR function across multiple locations and international markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing AR operations through people leaders within two countries, driving process efficiency, implementing best-in-class AR tools, and enhancing reporting and analytics through ERP systems and Power BI. This role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow, minimizing DSO, and ensuring alignment with global financial standards.
- Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable function across 15–40 locations and multiple regions, including direct oversight of two Country AR People Leaders.
- Review existing AR policies, procedures, and controls and enhance, implement, and monitor to ensure consistency and compliance across regions.
- Drive collection strategies to reduce DSO, improve cash flow, and minimize bad debt.
- Ensure timely and accurate credit assessments, collections, portal submissions and dispute resolution.
- Leverage ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics F&O, NetSuite) to enhance automation, standardization, and accuracy of AR processes.
- Evaluate and deploy AR tools (e.g., HighRadius, Billtrust, Quadient or similar platform) to increase efficiency, visibility, and customer experience.
- Design and deliver comprehensive AR performance reporting using Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and variance analysis for executive leadership.
- Partner closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to support revenue goals and resolve AR issues proactively.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, training programs, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage audit requirements related to AR and ensure accounting principles, other compliance frameworks are met.
- Support and guide multilingual AR teams (English, French) in international regions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive AR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing geographically dispersed teams.- Proven success overseeing AR for multi-location, multi-country operations.
- Strong experience with ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
- Hands-on experience implementing or managing AR automation tools.
- Advanced Power BI skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and interpret executive-level reporting dashboards.
- Deep understanding of credit and collections strategies, cash applications, and AR performance metrics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-cultural teams and stakeholders.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (especially French) a strong asset.
