Kindle LLC (“Kindle”) specializes in the management, optimization, and development of power generation in the United States and Canada and is a portfolio company of Blackstone Group Inc. Blackstone is a leading global alternative asset manager with $1 trillion of total assets under management. Kindle manages 8.7 GW of generation in Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana, with a 700 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine project in Louisiana and a 164 MW Simple Cycle Combustion Turbine project in Colorado, both currently under construction.
Job Summary:
Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•Booking invoices in our accounting system and coding them to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost coding
•Ensuring all vendor invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis
•Ensure invoices are approved in line with our delegation of authority limits
•Verify vendor account balances by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
•Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
•Liaise directly with vendors, procurement, treasury and the vendor onboarding teams to resolve invoice and payment status related issues
•Collection of unbilled invoice data at month end in order to recognize vendor accruals
•Assisting with annual 1099 filings
•Assisting the Accounting Managers with other month-end close activities
•Other ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Working Conditions:
•Hybrid work schedule – 3 days per week in office; 2 days per week remote work
•Open office work environment
•Occasional work outside of normal business hours
Minimum Requirements:
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable role
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with NetSuite accounting system or Stampli accounts payable software preferred, but not essential
•Energy industry experience is preferred, but not essential

•Interest in IT/accounting systems is essential
Position Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 total annual cash compensation including annual bonus
