Job Summary
Viacore Head office is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (20 months Maternity Leave contract position) to join our team. Reporting to the AP Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Clerk will perform various accounts payable and related tasks and procedures in a high-volume fast-paced company to ensure vendor invoices are properly sorted and forwarded to appropriate AP processing route and work flow in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. It is a 20 months contract.
Main Responsibilities:
•Manage AP/vendor workflows
•Code and post AP bills/vouchers to correct GL accounts into the system
•Ensure bill copy and/or other supporting documents are properly attached to vendor bills and other payable related transactions
•Perform 3-way match for POs, bills, and packing slips
•Investigate and seek approval of discrepancies (above threshold) of bills and PO/packing slips
•Review, reconcile, and investigate vendor account statements
•Assist with AP aging reports review, report and initiate follow up items
•Assist with vendor payment runs and cycles that adhere to payment terms
•Assist with timely AP month-end closing cut off
•Assist in expense reports and other account reconciliations
•Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
•Minimum of two (2) year relevant AP working experience
•Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles, processes, and procedures
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent time management
•Sense of urgency and task ownership
•Experience in NetSuite an asset
