Currently we are looking to add an accounts payable/accounts receivable clerk.We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities:
•Prepare and process invoices from vendors
•Facilitate and credit vendor payments, reviewing purchase order and resolve discrepancies
•Receive and verify expense reports and reconcile other financial reports
•Reconcile monthly statements and transactions
•Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices
•Perform initial and follow up collection activity regarding delinquent accounts
•Prepare standard and specialized reports including aging reports
•Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes
•Debit, credit and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software
•Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals, ledgers and computers
•Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auding reports and tables
•Code documents according to company procedures
•Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence
Minimum Requirements
•Direct experience with data entry and bookkeeping functions
•Must be computer literate and familiar with general business software
•Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and reporting methods necessary
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications:
•Associate's degree in business or accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
•Strong organizational and analytical skills
•Experience with an ERP System
