Description:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable / Office Clerk in Oxford MI. This role is fully 100% onsite. This role will support the accounting department and will be responsible for auditing & receiving invoices, request and follow up on missing documents as needed. Additionally, this position will answer phone calls, greet entrants to the building, maintain vendor files and perform other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a manufacturing office environment. Reliability, attention to detail and strong work ethics combined with excellent communication skills are essential, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software, and procedures.
Accounts Payable / Office Clerk Responsibilities:
•Accounts Payable & Invoicing
•Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment
•Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors
•Maintain records of accounts payable transactions and generate related reports
•Front Office & Customer Interaction
•Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner
•Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide front-desk support
•Handle mail distribution and office supply inventory
•Records Maintenance & General Office Duties
•Organize and maintain filing systems (both digital and physical)
•Support document control processes and ensure compliance with recordkeeping policies
•Assist in the coordination of office logistics and administrative tasks
•Administrative Assistance
•Provide support to the finance and administrative departments as needed
•Prepare basic reports, forms, and correspondence
•Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflow efficiency
Requirements:
Accounts Payable / Office Clerk Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in accounting or business is a plus
•2+ years of experience in accounts payable or office administration
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
•Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
•Professional communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
•Capable of sitting for long periods of time
•Able to walk, stand, see, talk, hear, touch, feel and reach with hands and arms
•Able to pass criminal background check
•Able to pass drug screening
•Able to pass an employee reference check
