A tax specialist is responsible for supporting an organization's tax compliance efforts, which includes tax preparation,
filing, reconciliation, and reporting. They work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and
timely submission of tax returns while minimizing tax liabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY: (denotes an essential function of the position)*

Education: *Required: Associate’s Degree in business, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in tax compliance, accounting or related field.
Language Skills: *Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a professional manner that is
sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Skills and Abilities: (May be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with the position)
Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a specialty field and the use of a wide range of procedures. *Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
