Position Summary: Supervises the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, financial statements, and audits. Supervises the Procurement/Financial Specialist, the Payroll/Revenue Specialist, and the Accounting Clerk. Primary duties and responsibilities in the areas of general ledger, payroll, supervision, benefits, banking, administration, special projects as assigned, and procurement. Position reports to the Director of Finance.
Duties Include: Preparing and maintaining a wide variety of accounting and statistical reports, records, and statements of ACSA operations; Overseeing all work performed by Accounting Group and preparing performance appraisals; Preparing the annual budget and leading the year end audit; Keeping current with procurement law/requirements and ensuring that the ACSA Purchasing Manual is compliant with updates and that all procurement is in compliance with VPPA, and administering semi-monthly direct deposits and wire transfers.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years' experience; Thorough knowledge of, and experience in, routine office, computer and accounting practices and principles. Thorough knowledge of accounting terminology and methods. Thorough knowledge of accounting theory and principles, and their application in the area of responsibility; Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) development experience; Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Must have excellent communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities. Experienced in planning and directing the work of others and training employees in the work of the section.
