Accounting Specialist

V&S Galvanizing currently operates nine hot-dip galvanizing plants in the United States serving several key markets, including Bridge Highway, Transportation, Utilities, Alternative Energy, Commercial Construction, Agriculture, Recreation, and multiple OEM sectors. We are currently hiring an Accounting Specialist at V&S Detroit Galvanizing in Redford, MI.

- Posting of incoming accounts receivable payments

- Research and resolve outstanding discrepancies

- Prepare and maintain aging reports for assigned accounts

- Collections - with a customer conscious approach

- Shipping and receiving

- The liaison between the employee and the Human Resources Department

- Manage time and attendance

- Data entry

- General office duties

Requirements:

- Minimum of two years of accounting functions - A/R, A/P

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

- Experience with Navision is a plus

- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced, team environment

- Clear and professional communication skills
