DXT Commodities North America Inc. is looking for a bright, dynamic, and motivated individual with strong analytical skills and work ethic to join our team. Based in Stamford, CT, the successful candidate will be a key member of our finance team. The candidate will collaborate with the CFO to help manage the accounting and financial reporting function for the Firm’s management company. This role requires an individual to be discrete and flexible, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously and becoming completely knowledgeable about the financial aspects of the company management. This individual will work closely with the company’s offshore accounting team and support all the in-house accounting activities.
- Coordinate monthly closing with offshore accounting team, review and post accrual entries in compliance with IFRS principles. Provide guidance and assistance throughout the closing process.
- Assist in preparation of consolidated management reporting package.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger balances.
- Maintain proper financial records.
- Record and track management fees and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Coordinate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, providing the required documentation and detailed information.
- Develop and maintain internal financial reporting processes, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.
- Mentor junior analyst and provide technical accounting guidance as needed.
- Be proactive in improving workflow, processes, policies, account analyses and distribution of relevant information.
- Assist with implementation of new systems and process.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests and inquiries; assist with special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field is a requirement.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in trading companies or investment banks.
- Strong knowledge of accounting IFRS principles and standards.
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE).
