Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with strong analytical skills and excellent organizational abilities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a problem solver, and capable of working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Success in this role requires critical thinking, proficiency in mathematics, and a solid understanding of job-cost accounting and financial reporting principles. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze financial data and prepare balance sheets.

- Perform daily account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.

- Manage purchase orders and process invoices.

- Review and allocate expenses to accounts and cost centers; record necessary entries.

- Verify vendor information, schedule, and prepare payments.

- Investigate and resolve accounts payable discrepancies.

- Calculate and file sales tax on paid invoices.

- Reconcile daily cash, check, and credit card transactions; organize and maintain records.

- Complete month-end close, including accruals and deferrals.

- Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, P&L, and balance sheets.

- Assist with financial and tax audits.

- Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets.

- Ensure all reporting complies with GAAP.

- Maintain compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role; service industry background preferred.

- Strong knowledge of job-cost accounting and GAAP standards.

- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software; hands-on experience with general ledger accounting is essential.

- Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
