We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to manage and support all aspects of our payroll process and any accounting related benefits touching our team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and strong leadership skills.
· Supervise and manage a staff of two performing weekly payroll processing for all employees (salaried, hourly, etc.)
· Monitor expense reporting systems ( presently Concur), prepare analytical reports as needed.
· Oversee 401(k), health benefits and voluntary benefit plans
· Work with the digital transformation team to migrate HRIS into Workday and general ledger systems into IFS
· Monitor vendor compliance with filings for payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits, and other withholdings. Stay current with all payroll and benefits rules and regulations.
· Prepare and maintain payroll-related general ledger entries and account reconciliations
· Generate internal and external payroll reports (e.g., headcount, labor cost analysis, audit reports)
· Maintain organized and accurate payroll records and documentation
· Manage payroll systems (Paycom-Present, Workday-Future) and partner with IT/HR for system enhancements
· Collaborate with HR, finance, and benefits departments to ensure seamless data flow and issue resolution
· Support internal initiatives such as compensation changes, benefits enrollment, or workforce restructures
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll data and reports
