Job Summary:

GCB Industries is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, service-driven industrial environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of GAAP, and experience managing accounting functions for a construction, HVAC, or industrial services company.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Handle and manage daily accounting tasks: enter and review AP/AR, process payroll entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger

•

Execute and lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

•

Perform job cost accounting and assist project managers directly with real-time financial tracking of jobs

•

Prepare and file tax documents to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements

•

Create and maintain cash flow reports, prepare forecasts, and collaborate on budget controls and spending strategies

•

Generate internal financial reports and build out KPI dashboards for leadership—own the data and deliver insights

•

Collaborate with HR/payroll to ensure accuracy in benefit deductions and labor allocations

•

Set up, test, and monitor internal controls to protect company assets

•

Work directly with external CPA firms to support audits and prepare for year-end filings

•

Be hands-on with your team—mentor, guide, and work alongside accounting staff while supporting their growth

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in industrial or construction settings

· Strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting and job costing

· Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage 300, or similar)

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

· Ability to communicate effectively with operations, field staff, and leadership

· High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail

· Experience managing small teams and improving accounting processes
