Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, with the ability to manage various accounting tasks effectively. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a solid grasp of GAAP standards. The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
•Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
•Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
•Manage accrual accounting processes to accurately reflect the company’s financial position.
•Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly accounted for.
•Utilize financial software for tracking, reporting, and analyzing financial data.
•Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
•Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations in all accounting practices.
•Provide insights into financial management and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
•Support governmental accounting processes as required, ensuring adherence to applicable standards.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
•Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including but not limited to account reconciliation, accrual accounting, and balance sheet management.
•Proficiency in using financial software for accounting tasks.
•Familiarity with GAAP principles and governmental accounting practices is a plus.
•Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
•Prior experience in an accounting role is highly desirable.
