We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in QuickBooks online and general technology.
- Process customer and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Review and verify invoice discrepancies, resolving any issues in a timely manner.
- Perform regular reconciliation of vendor and customer statements to ensure accuracy and identify any outstanding payments or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary documents and approval for invoice processing.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, statements, and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure purchase orders are accurately reflected in the accounts payable system.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments to vendors, ensuring timely disbursement of funds.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, including proper documentation and filing systems.
- Contribute to process improvements, identifying opportunities to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency.- 3+ years of proven experience as an Accounting Clerk.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online; experience with ADP OpenTicket/OpenInvoice, Ariba and GEP Smart is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal staff, customers and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Google Drive is helpful.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Must have the ability to be bonded; to perform efficiently and effectively with little or no supervision; to retain proprietary information as confidential; and to comply with attendance policies.
