Purpose of Accounting Clerk:

The Accounting Clerk supports the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping. This role ensures the accuracy and organization of financial data, assists with routine accounting functions, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.


Key Duties and Responsibilities are:

- Manage daily bookkeeping functions (voucher entry, vendor payments, collection of receivables, bank deposits, etc.)

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Assist with employee expense reimbursements

- Enter financial data into accounting systems with accuracy and timeliness

- Maintain and organize financial records, invoices, and receipts

- Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations

- Prepare and distribute customer invoices, statements, and reports

- Support month-end and year-end closing processes

- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and billing

- Assist with audits by providing requested documentation

- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and data verification


Qualifications & Required Skills:

- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred

- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Kinetic, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to thrive on a team


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
