Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as both Accounting Bookkeeper and Human Resources Manager. This hybrid role will manage the company's financial records and oversee key human resources functions, ensuring both financial integrity and a positive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Duties:
•Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
•Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries.
•Process payroll and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
•Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
•Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
•Assist with budget preparation, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
•Coordinate with external accountants for year-end closing and audits.
Human Resources Duties:
•Manage employee onboarding, including recruitment, orientation, and training coordination.
•Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of all HR information.
•Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, and workers’ compensation claims.
•Assist with the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
•Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
•Organize company events, employee engagement initiatives, and wellness programs.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in bookkeeping and human resources management (3+ years preferred).
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and HR best practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and ERP systems.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· High degree of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Work Environment
· Payroll certification (e.g., CPP) and/or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
· Experience in a small business or startup environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
