Job Description ABOUT THE COMPANY & ROLE:
A business segment of Exco Technologies Limited, Exco Extrusion Tooling Solutions is a fast-growing group and a global leader in the Extrusion Dies industry. Our annual Sales is approximately $100 million USD.
We are looking to hire a full-time Accountant for Exco Extrusion Dies Inc, which has locations in Chesterfield, Michigan and Wylie, Texas. The incumbent will be based in Chesterfield, Michigan, which offers a dynamic working environment rich in operation complexity.
The Accountant is an individual contributor, who will be working directly with Division Controller, Group Controller and Operations Manager among other key stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accountant is responsible for all financial control and accounting activities of Exco’s Extrusion division located in Wylie Texas. More specifically,
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close & reporting package in accordance with IFRS and Exco Accounting Standards
- Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors, provide all supporting documents as required
- Monitor all financial control activities and ensure compliance to Exco standards
- Control Accounts Receivable collections and provide an efficient interface with customers to resolve payment issues
- Manage Accounts Payable cycle and ensure vendor invoices are appropriately coded in accordance with Exco’s chart of accounts
- Review employees’ timecards and approve payroll files
- Reconciles physical inventory, maintain accuracy in transactions and records
- Manage and obtain approval for all requests on capital expenditures
- Prepare annual budget for headquarter review and Board approval
- Facilitate between Accounting and other departments, improve business processes, and create efficiencies
- Work on-site at one location (Chesterfield, MI), and travel to the other location (Wylie, TX) as needed (approximately 10% or less)
- Participate in ad hoc projects
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent (required)
- Proven working experience in these function areas: general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable (required); preferably in a manufacturing industry
- Existing experience with processing or review payroll (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High standards of work ethics and professional integrity
- Reliable, organized and able to focus attention on details
