The accounting manager manages the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company and serves as a key financial partner to ownership/leadership. This role helps ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls. The accounting manager will take the lead on accounting functions, completes month-end and year-end closing processes, and provides financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Manage and oversee the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Perform month-end and year-end close, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and stakeholders.
- Develop and report financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve operational performance.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and systems.
- Assist with tax compliance, filings, and special financial projects as needed.
Coordinate with outside auditors, tax professionals, and other advisors.
Pay Range $60,000 - 80,000/yr based on experience
