Reverse Unit Operator
Location: Midland, TX – AWS Yard
Responsibilities:
Reverse Unit Operators will oversee operating and maintaining reverse units and power swivels on location for customers. Operations will include 12-hour shifts on 24-hour operations for drill outs and workover operations.
- Operating the assigned reverse unit, swivel and other equipment on location
- Responsible for safe operation of assigned equipment in accordance with best practice and standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for frequent communication with other services and companies at customer locations as well as customer representatives.
- Responsible for routine, preventative maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Always follows and supports all HSE policies.
- Always knows and uses appropriate PPE.
- Drives vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off-road situations including two track roads.
- Washes and maintains vehicles and equipment according to company standards
- High school education or equivalent, preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year experience with reverse unit, and or swivels, required
- Knowledge and experience in oilfield well servicing, required
- Works well with others
- Basic problem solving and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), preferred
- Prior experience working in KPA, preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass MVR, required
- Class A CDL, preferred
- Ability to communicate, read & write in English
- Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law
- Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basis
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
- Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
- Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
