3rd Shift Forklift Operator/Scrap Department Employee

Hours: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Sunday night thru Thursday night

Pay: $20.90 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Scrap Department employee to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse

- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while operating the forklift

- Communicate effectively with leads and other team members

- Use a chisel hammer to cut materials of spools

- Daily housekeeping

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day

- Good hand/eye coordination

- High school diploma or equivalent

-Minimum of 2 years forklift experience required

-Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred

-Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and use hand tools for at least 8 hours per day

-Weekend work as needed

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is generally loud. The employee is required to regularly work with toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places. Proper PPE is provided.

Physical Demands:

- Regular standing, walking, reaching, using hands, talking, and hearing.

- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Team Lift procedures will be used for any object weighing over 50 pounds.

- The employee must have clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, and the ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point. The employee must also have three-dimensional vision with the ability to judge distances and special relationships, and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus while observing color.
