About This Job
We are seeking an 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Welder. You will be working in a fast-paced, diverse environment. We offer a competitive starting salary, and full benefits after completion of the probationary period. The position is full-time, with standard hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend and onsite work may be required depending on customer needs.
Responsibilities:
•
Receive jobs from your manager and carry out what is needed to complete the job
•
Assess the jobs received and decide the most efficient and effective way of completing the job without sacrificing quality, with the assistance of a manager if needed
•
Check in with your manager in the morning for a job schedule and list of priorities.
•
Run an initial quality control check on the parts that are finished
•
Make sure to follow safety precautions (proper eyewear, safe footwear, proper monitoring of machinery etc.) in order to maintain a safe workplace for yourself and those around you
•
Operate all welding supplies, tools & machines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and formal hazard assessments
•
Maintain material/tool stock room to ensure that the area is kept clean and items are easily accessible
•
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
•
Communicate your questions or concerns with supervisors & managers.
•
Report any concerns regarding machine maintenance, or performance of the machines. Schedule maintenance and repairs on these machines if needed

Willing to work overtime and weekends
