Welder, Level II

The Welder, Level II at Aqua-Chem is responsible for welding/assembling components and subassemblies in accordance with company standards. Working primarily in a manufacturing setting, successful candidate will work under the direction of a Manufacturing Supervisor.

Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00/hr Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

- Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently

- Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space

- Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard

- Ability to set-up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as MIG and TIG welding equipment

- Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow

- Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time

- Perform rigging, lifting, and moving of product using cranes, forklifts, metal carts etc.

- Assists in training Welder I positions

- Ability to perform daily job tasks with little to no supervision

- Ability to read weldment drawings with little to no guidance

- Participate in Continuous Improvement program

- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- High School Diploma/GED required

- Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs

- Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures

- Basic shop math and measurement skills

- Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings

- Able to work overtime as required

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years welding in a manufacturing and/or similar environment

- 2 - 3 years of MIG and TIG experience
