Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder. Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring high-quality fabrication and assembly of metal structures.

Duties

- Perform MIG on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.

- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery including plasma cutters, press brake machines, and forklifts.

- Operate Band Saw and cut according to required cuts to ensure no waste as needed.

- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.

- Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and function. No "this is good enough" as that won't work in a precision shop.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding, with proficiency in MIG welding techniques.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including cranes, shear, drill press and press brake machines.

- Experience using calipers for precise measurements is an asset.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.

- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and other welding equipment safely.

- Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.84-$26.00 per hour
