Job Objective:
Support development, implementation, and promotion of pipeline safety and compliance programs in accordance with federal and state regulations across the organization.
- Promotes safe pipeline and facility operating practices across entire organization.
- Lead the pipeline safety and compliance program for a specific corporate region or support across regions.
- Partner with Engineering, Control Room, and Field Operations to support implementation of safe operating practices, training exercises, and regulatory requirements.
- Train field and operations teams on pipeline safety and compliance programs, obligations, and inspection preparedness.
- Perform pipeline safety information and regulatory reviews for asset acquisitions, capital projects, and operational modifications.
- Learn the pipeline specific assets in the applicable region(s) and develop successful operations’ relationships with asset teams.
- Develop and maintain compliance tracking systems and dashboards for real-time performance visibility.
- Serve as point of contact for regulatory questions and decisions.
- Participate in regulatory audits and inspections with PHMSA and state agencies, including pre-audit preparation and post-audit response coordination.
- Track changes in pipeline safety regulations and advise stakeholders on business impact and implementation strategy.
- Facilitate and track Annual Reviews and updates on Operations, Maintenance and Emergency Response manuals. Coordinate reviews by subject matter experts and affected personnel to ensure timely completion.
- Support regulatory reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all submissions (e.g., PHMSA, NRC, NPMS).
- Work closely with Integrity & Compliance team members to ensure effective stakeholder communication.

- Actively support and contribute to the company’s mission and vision through reliable, high-quality work.
- Actively and positively support and promote the Pipeline Safety & Compliance team mission and goals.- 4+ years of experience in pipeline safety and compliance, process safety, risk, engineering, operations, or related pertinent experience with demonstrated leadership.
- Knowledge of CFR 192/193/195, PHMSA regulations, NPMS, NRC reporting, and CRM requirements.
- Experience working with regulatory programs.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and regulatory interpretation skills; capable of assessing risks and leading mitigation efforts.
- Ability to manage complex documentation workflows and regulatory reporting systems.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Comfortable presenting to internal leadership and external regulatory bodies.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- This position requires travel (up to 20%) to field facilities and other offices, as well as periodic work in outdoor and industrial facility environments, to validate field conditions and establish and maintain good working relations with operations personnel.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year university or college. Equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
