Directs and trains field employees activities concerned with providing technical services such as gun perforating, well logging, tracer surveying, caliper surveying, and acidizing and chemical cutting. Audits work activities of field employees to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards by performing the following duties.
- Directs organization and training of field personnel and supervises field-servicing operations.
- Directs field employees on repair and maintenance of field equipment used in and related to wireline field operations. Verifies completions and compliance of such tasks.
- Manages engineers and crews in the wireline field operations.
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee field orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, customer service, health and safety practices.
- Responsible for training employees in all areas of wireline operations, observing and assessing active field crews through regular field audits, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Observes and asks workers questions pertaining to job functions.
- Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- Work with management team in conducting investigations, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Advises engineers on specific servicing problems and recommends use of specialized tools, techniques, and services.
- Keeps records of operations and prepares reports.
- Obtains quality assurance check list through regular scheduled and unannounced field audits.
- Writes and submits audit reports to management.
- Observes workers using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to safety and quality assurance standards.
- Reads processing information to verify that records adhere to specifications.
- Informs management of engineering, employee and customer problems.
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years wireline experience.
- Current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Airbrake Endorsement; or ability to attain a Class A CDL with specified endorsements within 120 days of employment.
- Advanced knowledge in Pump Down and Logging Operations.
- Advanced knowledge of Downhole Tools.
- Knowledge in Wireline addressable systems, release tools, pressure control, Dump Bailers, Jet Cutters, Packers, RBP, Gamma Ray Correlation and vertical and horizontal wells.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Advanced knowledge of Warrior software system and basic knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
