Welder, 1st shift

Majestic Steel is excited to add a welder to our Team! We’re hiring welder that is ready to hit the ground running! That means assembling, fabricating parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment. Majestic Steel has an immaculate facility, strong safety culture and offers competitive compensation & benefits! Hours Monday- Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with overtime as required.

What you will do:

- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create parts and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.

- Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for assembly.

- Operate various hand and power tools to complete tasks.

- Perform all welding work with help of forming and cutting equipment.

- Perform welding of various metal objects with help of gas torch and welder.

- Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.

- Evaluate weld machine performance regularly.

- Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables.

- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.

- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.

- Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to specification changes.

- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.

- Wear appropriate protective equipment as required and in accordance with safety policies and OSHA standards.

- Assist with housekeeping and provide support in other areas as required.

- Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional:

- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 70 lbs.

- Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 10 hours.

- Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment.

- Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.

- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days, as needed, which includes weekdays and weekends.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

- Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals.

- Capable of reading blueprints.

- Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.

- Specific technical or vocational training or certification. (Preferred)

- Work with minimal supervision, plans and prioritizes workload effectively.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures.

- Work independently and as part of a team.

- Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility.

- Communicate with management and co-workers in an effective manner.
