SHIFT- 7 AM-7PM - SATURDAY THRU MONDAY
General Extrusions International is seeking a Weekend Production Supervisor and is based off of a 24/7 plant operation.
Role and Responsibilities:
The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that employees follow company policies and procedures to meet production goals. They direct the activities of employees and ensure the safety of all employees by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. The supervisor will monitor all aspects of production and ensure that all efforts will be made to promote high quality production with little to no scrap.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:esponsibilities
•Proper training of personnel to operate, adjust, and maintain maximum production.
•Maintain production records and ensure that all personnel are completing records accurately.
•Perform daily inspect and/or audit of finished products before they are shipped.
•Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
•Manage and/or adjust work procedures to meet production requirements.
•Develop methods to utilize personnel and resources in the best possible ways.
•Track personnel attendance daily.
•Monitor, assess and document employee performance.
•Ensure that all required shift paperwork is accurate and complete including accident reporting.
•Relieve team members as needed (breaks, lunches, absent team member, vacation)
•Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to when it comes to safety, attendance and performance.
•Initiate, recommend, investigate, troubleshoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to products, processes and quality systems.
•Review production schedules, work orders, and other records/reports to determine production requirement and to evaluate current production workload.
•Inspecting the quality of the machinery and reporting equipment failures to the maintenance department.
•Work closely with the Maintenance department to ensure equipment maintenance is scheduled at the most opportune times, in order to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills /Requirements
•Prior experience with Rubber, Aluminum or Plastic fabrication
•Strong Leadership abilities
•Must have the ability to manage 15+ employees
•3 – 5 years of production/manufacturing supervision
•Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
•Organization & communication skills
•Must have the ability to lift 50+ pounds
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•College Degree in manufacturing, quality control or other relevant field from an accredited institution.
•Three (3) years’ experience of supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
•First Aid Certification is an asset.
•Experience in a leadership position.
•Basic math and measurement skills.
•Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is preferred.
•Strong physical endurance.
•Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Oral, reading and writing fluency in English.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
