The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment, systems, and facilities are properly maintained and operating efficiently. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians, coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, and ensures compliance with safety standards and operational goals. To ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of the physical infrastructure, equipment, and facilities essential for safe and efficient production processes. This role encompasses overseeing maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, optimizing asset management through driving proactive maintenance strategies, and managing budgets effectively. By prioritizing safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency, the Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maximizing operational efficiency, and safeguarding the well-being of employees and the surrounding environment.
o Ensure upkeep of the refinery's assets, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, to optimize their lifespan and performance.
o Asset tracking, inventory management, and strategic planning for asset replacement or upgrades to support operational needs and regulatory requirements.
o Facilitate the sourcing and development of new opportunities within the Engineering environment to become an innovative, technologically advanced, and digitally integrated organization.
o Adhere to maintenance programs to ensure that all equipment, machinery, and facilities are functioning optimally. This includes scheduling in collaboration with Refinery Operations regular inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of the organizational strategy by making recommendations on relevant frameworks, policies, practices, processes, and systems to do with Engineering/Facilities.
o Oversee & evaluate maintenance programs, teams, plans, and criteria for a variety of activities and ensure alignment to business needs.
o Participate actively in implementing overall long-term strategies for the maintenance function by identifying the short, medium- and long-term needs in support of long-term strategic direction of the organization.
o Integrate safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality control measures into the operational architecture to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with standards.
o Review and ensure QEH&S Management System document control, procedures, and activities are current and representative of Facilities & Engineering operations.
o Manage the labor facilities responsibility to achieve organizational objectives.
o Responsible for the identification, analysis, quantification and management of operational risks and threats.
o Drive culture of continuous improvement through new innovations within the Facilities environment.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility operations, efficiency, and sustainability. This may involve implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and benchmarking performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
o Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for enhancement.
o Develop Facilities best practices through KPIs to track effectiveness.
o Participate in facility engineering projects as needed
o Ensure open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
o Provides leadership in terms of strategic integration and alignment, specialist advice and guidance and the creation of a strong Facilities/Maintenance culture by conducting regular engagements with teams.
o Provide guidance and support to facilities teams.
o Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to support facility operations and maintenance activities. This includes monitoring performance and ensuring that vendor services meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
o Consults and/or negotiates regularly with other corporate functions to achieve outcomes favorable to the discipline or the resolution of issues that affect the discipline or its people, to enhance the image of the maintenance function.

o Responsible for identifying and mitigating safety risks, conducting safety audits, and overseeing emergency response procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and contractors.

o Experience in planning and implementing large-scale investment projects and will be capable of coordinating complex, enterprise-wide processes.
o At least 3-5 years experience in a related role in a manufacturing or processing facility, preference to have been at a lead or supervisory level or experience in a functional/specialist area.
o Be a US Citizen, US permanent resident, or Classified as a protected person.
o Medically fit to work in the business area.
o Successfully clear security screening record including a 7-year criminal record search free of theft or fraud related offenses.
o Translate and facilitate shared vision towards the future.
o Balance trade-offs between short- and long term
Working hours: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Compliance: Be a US Citizen, US permanent resident, or Classified as a protected person. This position necessitates strict adherence to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance. Candidates must meet ITAR requirements to be considered for this role and compliance with the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program.
