Water Infrastructure Team Lead – Senior PM San Antonio, TX

Our client, a reputable engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee and expand their municipal water and wastewater practice in the San Antonio region.

This senior-level role blends project leadership, team management, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong municipal relationships, and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions to communities.

Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and grow the regional water/wastewater engineering team while ensuring successful project delivery.

- Oversee complex municipal projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment, and reuse systems.

- Build and strengthen relationships with municipal clients, utilities, and key regional stakeholders.

- Develop, negotiate, and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules for multiple projects.

- Drive new business opportunities through client outreach, networking, and strategic positioning.

- Recruit, train, and develop technical staff to support long-term team growth.

- Monitor project performance and financials to meet profitability targets.

- Represent the organization at industry conferences, events, and professional association meetings.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Active Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

- 15+ years of experience in municipal water, wastewater, or water reuse engineering.

- Strong knowledge of municipal planning, design, and construction practices.

- Proven project management experience, including financial oversight and team leadership.

- Established relationships with municipal clients in the San Antonio area.

- Demonstrated experience in business development and proposal support.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

- Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.

- Strong commitment to professional ethics, quality, and safety.
