The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the maintenance and organization of Côté Gold’s warehouses. They perform goods receiving, storage and dispatch tasks for the range of items and materials required for the full functioning of Côté Gold operations

Key Responsibilities Area 1:

Warehouse maintenance and organization.

- Liaise with customers, vendors, suppliers, and transport companies.

- Plan and Monitor the storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders.

- Oversee stock control and process orders received

- Maintain accurate data in stock control and other systems.

- Plan future capacity requirements.

- Produce regular reports and monitor key performance indicators.

- Consult operations and maintenance personnel to monitor the quality of service they are receiving.

- Order required items, supplies and materials as requested by operations and supervision.

- Receive and rotate inventory.

- Count and tag inventory.

- Stock materials and supplies.

- Drive to and from vendor or job sites as needed to deliver and pick up materials

- Maintain tools in good working condition.

- Ensure hazardous materials, chemicals and gases are stored safely according to WHIMS

- Prepare inventory counts as required.

- Liaise with departments on materials usage and turnover to ensure that inventory holdings are adequate.

Area 2 Operational excellence.

- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.

- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.

- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).

Area 3 Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.

- Coordinate with other team members to meet shift deliverables.

- Mentor and train new team members.

- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.

- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.

- Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.

- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.

- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Job Qualifications Minimum Requirements And Nice To Haves minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents

- Grade 12 or equivalent.

Work experience - Nature & Length

- 6 months or more of experience in a construction and/or industrial warehouse environment.

Additional Qualifications - Competency Requirements

- Advanced computer literacy.

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Knowledge of different environments and health and safety protocols are required.

- Sense of urgency and focus.

- Driver’s license is required.
