- Experience as a forklift operator – previously certified.
- Flexible – ability to work in different warehouse roles based on needs of business.
- Excellent mathematical skills, ability to read English.
- Must have a driver’s license and good driving record.
- Be comfortable using computer and software functions.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, turrets, and stock picker to retrieve, store or stage product, load/unload trucks.
- Able to accurately record transactions using computer software.
- Accurately record inventory transactions using an RF, handheld PC/scanning device.
- Accurately record product description and quantity with the order prior to shipment.
- Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal direction.
- Perform additional warehouse functions as designed by Lead Person or Warehouse Manager.
- Hands on which can include periodically bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing ladders, stooping, crouching, and moving/lifting heavy objects.
- Frequent lifting of heavy packages (up to 60 lbs. often, 100lbs seldom.).
- May pull and combine partial pallets as required.
- Ability to operate manual and electric strapper.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts that cause vibration.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Structured shifts- 7AM-3:30PM Monday through Friday, some weekend shifts possible.
- Machinery operations require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety harness and proper dress and foot attire.
